What this website knows about you
Very little, on purpose.
No accounts, no tracking. This site has no user accounts, sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and does not use Google Analytics or similar. The web host keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, page requested, time) for a short period to keep the site running.
Forms. If you send a request or a message, what you type — your name, contact details and message — is emailed to the museum office so a volunteer can reply, and is kept only as long as that conversation needs. It is not used for marketing and is not shared.
Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is held by the newsletter service the museum uses, and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Payments. When online membership or donations are offered, payment is handled entirely by the payment provider; this site never sees or stores card details.
Maps and embedded video. The walking-tour map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. An Instagram video on the homepage loads from Instagram only if you press Watch; until then nothing is sent to Instagram.
Location. The walking-tour map's "Locate me" button asks your browser for your position so the map can show where you are. It is used only on your screen and never sent to us.
